David Rago Co-Director, Specialist
David Rago began dealing in American decorative ceramics at the age of sixteen, at a flea market in his home state of New Jersey. Today, with partners Suzanne Perrault and Miriam Tucker, he oversees the auction house that bears his name, sells privately in the field of 20th/21st C. Design, lectures nationally and appears as an expert appraiser for the PBS series, Antiques Roadshow, where he specializes in decorative ceramics and porcelain.
Suzanne Perrault Co-Director, Specialist
Suzanne Perrault heads cataloguing at Rago Arts and Auction Center and co-directs its department of 20th/21st C. Design. She and David Rago are also private dealers of 20th/21st C. Design, receiving clients by appointment. She is an author who lectures nationally and an expert appraiser for the hit PBS series, Antiques Roadshow, where she specializes in decorative ceramics and porcelain.
Jerry Cohen Specialist
Jerry Cohen is the specialist in charge of Arts and Crafts furniture at Rago. Mr. Cohen has been buying and selling Arts & Crafts since 1978, when he opened The Mission Oak Shop in Oakland, California. In 1991 opened The Antiques Marketplace, which was the catalyst for the redevelopment of Putnam’s downtown as an antiques shopping district. In 1985 he co-founded, with Michael Adams, Aurora Studios, a high-end artists studio devoted to the production of hand crafted hammered copper Arts & Crafts lighting. In 1995 he founded Craftsman Auctions, which merged with David Rago’s Arts & Crafts Auctions in September 2000.
Frank Maraschiello Specialist
Frank Maraschiello is a Client Services Representative who works most directly with the 20th c. Decorative Arts and Design department. In his long career, he has served as the Vice President and Director of 20th Century Decorative Arts at Bonham’s; and Vice President of 20th Century Decorative Arts at Sotheby’s. He managed the Modernism Gallery New York City, which merged with the Macklowe Gallery. Mr. Maraschiello sits on the Board of Directors for Urban Glass and the Advisory Board of the Art Deco Society of New York, and regularly works with various museums and decorative arts organizations on fundraising auctions.
